There was a time

Two little animals decided to build their own dwellings. The youngest pig was lazy and built his house out of straw. The other pig was a little smarter and built his house out of branches. The oldest pig was very diligent and built his house out of sturdy wood.

{Soon after|Not long|One day, ahungry wolf came along.{ He wanted to eat the pigs! He came up to the smallest pig's house and said, "Little pig, let me in!|Piggy, piggy, let me in!" The first pig replied, "No, no, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!" But the wolf was too strong. He knocked over the house of straw and the smallest pig ran to his brother's/friend's house.

  • The big bad wolf followed him and shouted again, "Little pigs, let me in!" The two pigs cried, "No, no, not by the hair on our chinny chin chins!" But the wolf was too mighty. He blew down the house of planks and both pigs ran to the third pig's house.
  • The wolf followed them and said, "Little pigs, let me in!" But the largest pig replied, "{Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!" The wolf pushed to blow down the house of brick but he couldn't. He became furious. Finally, he jumped up the chimney but he fell into a pot of steaming stew and boiled himself to death.

The animals were safe at last. They lived happily ever after in the strong brick house, {learning that it is important to be careful and think ahead for the future..

Discouraged, the wolf tried to climb down the chimney, but the clever third pig had a pot of steaming water waiting for him. The wolf fell into the pot and screamed in pain.

The three little pigs were safe at last! They learned that it is important to be thoughtful and be diligent. From then on, they lived happily ever after in their sturdy brick house.
